Films under Death Race series –

Death Race 2000 – This a 1975 cult action film. As the contestant’s speed across the country, they score points for running people down. The sport has crazed fans who sacrifice themselves to the drivers. To the immoral Death Race, a covert group is trying to bring an end. One of their followers has been infiltrated into the race as a navigator of the top driver. In the end, the lives of the competitors, the Death Race itself, and the President are in grave danger. Director – Paul Bartel. Producers – Roger Corman and Jim Weatherill. 

Death Race – This is a 2008 remake of Death Race 2000. The economy of the US collapses in 2012, causing unemployment and an increase in the crime rate. There is a sharp increase of convicted criminals, which leads to privatized prisons for profit. The warden of Terminal Island Penitentiary earns profits from the pay-per-view broadcast of Death Race with the prisoners as the players. On a closed track at Terminal Island, the racers and their navigators, drive a three-part race over three days. Director – Paul W. S. Anderson. Producers – Paul W. S. Death Race 2 – This 2010, film is a prequel to the 2008 film Death Race. The getaway driver is arrested after a robbery for his crime boss goes wrong. Two police officers entered the building when his accomplices were robbing the bank. He tells his accomplices to abort, but they refuse. One of three accomplices dies. One of the officers is killed by him. But he is captured by police. Director – Roel Reiné. Producers – Paul W. S. Anderson, Jeremy Bolt, Mike Elliott.

Death Race 3: Inferno – This is an American science fiction action film of 2013 and sequel to Death Race 2 and the prequel to the Death Race. Death Race owner has been forced to sell Niles York’s rights (British billionaire) who acquired the ownership by a hostile takeover. He intends to relocate the Death Race to the deserts of Africa. Director – Roel Reiné. Producers – Paul W. S. Anderson, Jeremy Bolt, Mike Elliott.

Death Race 2050 – This is an American political satire action direct-to-video film of 2017. It is a sequel to Death Race 2000. The film is about a car-racing picture with some black humor. Director – G. J. Echternkamp. Producers – Roger Corman.

Death Race: Beyond Anarchy – This 2018 film is a sequel to Death Race. The film features the return of Danny Trejo and Frederick Koehler. Director – Don Michael Paul. Producers – Paul W. S. Anderson, Jeremy Bolt, Mike Elliott, Greg Holstein.
